What does the evidence say about feedback that moves pupils forward? That’s the question the EEF seek to answer in their latest guidance report: Teacher Feedback to Improve Pupil Learning.

Bradford Research School will host a webinar exploring the recommendations from the guidance report on Wednesday 14th July 4.305.30.

In particular, we will dig deeper into the detail from the three key principles of effective feedback that form the central messages in the guidance report. They state that teachers should:

  1. lay the foundations for effective feedback, with high-quality initial teaching that includes careful formative assessment;
  2. deliver appropriately timed feedback, which focuses on moving learning forward; and
  3. plan for how pupils will receive and use feedback using strategies to ensure that pupils will act on the feedback offered.And we’ll ask what the implications are for some of our common classroom practices.
