Building on our foundational course Bridging the Gap: How to Create a Pupil Premium Strategy,” this new session is designed for schools that already have a Pupil Premium (PP) strategy in place and want to ensure it is implemented effectively and achieves real impact.

Implementing a Pupil Premium strategy is not a one-off exercise — it requires ongoing monitoring and evaluation throughout the delivery phase of the three-year plan. To ensure meaningful impact, school leaders must have robust systems in place to assess what’s working, identify what needs to improve, and understand how to remove barriers to learning for disadvantaged pupils. This course supports leaders in creating a clear line of sight between strategic intent and day-to-day practice, helping to build equity through evidence-informed approaches that are responsive, sustainable, and aligned with whole-school priorities.

> Strategic alignment– Integrating Pupil Premium implementation with wider school priorities, including the SIP, literacy plan, and curriculum intent
> Effective implementation planning– Applying the EEF’s guidance to develop clear, coherent plans that support sustained change
> Funding and compliance– Reviewing alignment with DfE expectations and embedding principles of implementation and behaviour change
> Monitoring and evaluation– Strengthening systems for process and impact evaluation, with a focus on identifying what’s working and why
> Evidence-informed improvement – Leveraging research, CPD, and diagnostic tools to refine core components of your approach
> Sustaining and adapting strategy – Managing the strategy across a three-year cycle, adapting to contextual changes, and planning for leadership transitions
