More info

This practical session will help you deepen your understanding of what makes professional development delivery effective, with a particular focus on the role of facilitation and how to manage participant cognitive load.

You will explore how five key principles of effective facilitation – Responsive, Actively Engaging, Well-Structured, Visually Supportive, and Clearly Delivered – can be applied not just in theory, but through practical, high-impact techniques. Drawing on both research and authentic examples, we will model what these principles look like in action and provide concrete takeaways you can use in your own training.

Expect an interactive session with opportunities to apply ideas and reflect on your own delivery practice.

With Phil Stock, Greenshaw Research School director
