The Secondary Literacy Deep Dive will explore the EEF’s Improving Literacy in Secondary Schools guidance report, supporting teachers and leaders in deepening understanding of the research evidence and how to embed this into day-to-day practice. Through the sharing of practical examples, attendees will be supported to both evaluate current practice and to develop a meaningful plan for implementation that is bespoke to context.

Literacy skills are not only vital for academic success; by focusing on literacy, we can truly engage with pupils’ levels of confidence, emotional well-being, and strength of relationships, as well as pupils’ ability to engage with feedback and to be increasingly metacognitive and self-reflective.
