Reading is key to learning across all subjects in primary and secondary school. It is a strong predictor of outcomes in later life.
In KS2 and secondary, disciplinary reading is an approach to improving literacy across the curriculum that emphasises the importance of subject-specific support.

This one-day course will focus on aspects such as:

> Ensuring a robust diagnostic assessment of need
> Embedding core classroom teaching strategies that improve the literacy capabilities of the whole class
> Assessing any additional support in the form of high-quality, structured, targeted interventions
> Wider strategies to support progress
> Professional development mechanisms to support behaviour change
> QA and evaluation strategies

Follow-up in-school support available in 24/25.
See booking form for funding – some support available.
