Research School Network: New to leading on Pupil Premium in 2025/6 A twilight session to hear about how to make the best use of pupil premium and support disadvantaged children

Unity Research School is keen to support colleagues taking on roles leading Pupil Premium in the new school year.

This twilight session, led by Marc Rowland, will share guidance on planning an effective published Pupil Premium strategy, and how to ensure that strategy is then consistently enacted across all of school life.

Marc will explore how leaders can unite colleagues around the strategy, attend to the context of the school community, and seek to understanding the impact of low family income on the learning. Further guidance will also focus on pitfalls to avoid, utilising evidence and sharing insights from schools where highly effective strategies are being implemented.
