More info

This webinar series, led by John Holmes, supports teachers in understanding how to apply the research evidence so that they teach in a responsive fashion. We will consider how to carefully lay the groundwork for effective assessment and feedback, how to design tasks that provide useful information about learning so that teachers can provide well-timed information that focuses on improvement, and which takes into account how learners receive and use that information.

Each session will run from 3.30pm – 4.30pm and provide opportunities for discussion with fellow participants.

  1. Laying the foundations for effective assessment and feedback (27 February)
  2. Effective formative assessment (11 March)
  3. Visible assessment: eliciting evidence of learning (23 April)
  4. Delivering effective feedback (10 May)
  5. Purposeful and time-efficient written feedback (22 May)
  6. Summative assessments (20 June)
