There is good evidence that oral language, integrated with the disciplinary literacy curriculum of subjects can improve attainment for all students and can be an effective approach for improving outcomes for disadvantaged pupils.
The quality of our students’ thinking is directly limited by the quality of their talk. In these sessions:
We will hear from expert practitioners and leaders from each subject to consider what disciplinary talk looks like in their subject and how they make the most of oral language strategies in their subjects.
These sessions are for senior leaders and middle leaders of all specialisms.
