: Jenny Nicholls

Jenny Nicholls leads internal training at Shaw Education Trust for over 30 schools in the special, primary and secondary sector. She loves leading teacher and leadership development programmes, and has previously written materials for the NPQ in Leading Teacher Development, as well as leading her trusts own NPQ partnership. She also enjoys getting involved in wider school improvement work for SET.

Jenny began her career as a History Teacher and led a History Department at an Outstanding school to History GCSE results in the top 1% for P8. She has been the History Lead at two SCITTS and also developed early career teachers through her role as a NQT Induction Tutor. She worked as an Advanced Skills Teacher for Staffordshire and as a Senior Lead Practitioner for Ormiston Academies. There she led a team of National Humanities Leads supporting Humanities provision and school improvement across 40+ schools.
