Helen has taught English for 20 years, working in inner-city and special measures’ schools as part of her desire to effect positive change in education. She has been a Head of English, and an Assistant Headteacher for Teaching and Learning. Helen has supported schools locally in her roles as an Advanced Skills Teacher, Specialist Leader of Education, and as a Trust lead for English. Helen has worked previously with the National Strategies on Functional Skills and with her Local Authority as a Lead teacher. Most recently, Helen has been acting director of Tudor Grange Teaching School Hub, and is currently acting Origin Maths Hub lead, and assistant Director of Tudor Grange Research School. Helen has a degree in English Literature, and a masters degree in Educational Leadership and Innovation.
