You have had your photo taken

Introduction

This privacy notice will inform you as to how we look after your personal data when you have photographs taken in order to develop a resource for EEF projects and resources. This page should be read in conjunction with our RSN privacy notice main page which covers information relevant to anyone whose data is used by the EEF.

Purpose and lawful basis for processing

The processing involves taking photographs in schools, nurseries and early years settings with the intention of using the images as part of promotional resources both in print and online. The images may be used both by the EEF and by schools and setting within the Research Schools Network. The GDPR lawful basis we rely on to process your personal data is consent (GDPR Article 6[1][a]).

Information to be collected

Photographs may be taken in a variety of locations within the school environment and may, in some cases, be edited. As well as the photographs, we also collect personal information on our consent forms.

Who it is shared with and how long we keep it

The photos will be stored securely on a password-protected cloud space with restricted access. The EEF and their partners (primarily the Research Schools Network and individual Research Schools) may use the photographs on their websites, on social media and in online/print resources. When doing so, the names of pupils will not be shared.

The photographs will be retained for as long as the associated online resource remains in use.
