Research Schools Network: Privacy notice schools registering their interest in early pipeline programmes

Introduction

This privacy notes will inform you as to how the EEF and the Research School responsible for delivering the programme look after your personal data when you register your interest to take part. It should be read in conjunction with the information on the main Research School Network privacy notice page which covers information relevant to anyone whose data is used by the RSN including your rights.

Purpose and lawful basis for processing

The purpose of collecting your data is so that we can contact you with relevant information about the programme, what it will involve and what you need to do to sign up.

The lawful basis we rely on for processing your personal data is your consent under article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR.

What we need and why we need it

We collect your name, email address and phone number so that we can send you further information about the opportunity to take part in this programme. We also request limited work information, such as job title and institution, to help us understand who is interested in taking part and check the eligibility of your school.

Data is stored by the Education Endowment Foundation and will be shared with the programme delivery team at the Research School so they can get in touch about next steps.

How long we keep it

The information you provide when you register your interest will be kept until the end of the project in October 2022.

What are your rights?

We rely on your consent to process the personal data you provide to us for registering your interest in this project. This means you have the right to withdraw your consent, or to object to the processing of your personal data for this purpose at any time. If you do that, we’ll update our records immediately to reflect your wishes.

Do we use any data processors?

Yes. We use Microsoft Office as a third party to process your data in all our work. Please refer to its privacy notice, available here, for further details.
