The Early Career Framework is the new framework for Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs).
The content of the framework and its underpinning evidence has been independently assessed and endorsed by the Education Endowment Foundation.
The North East in one of the early roll out areas which means it is a fully funded programme to support our NQTs and mentors from September 2020.
The Department for Education have since commissioned four organisations to develop a training programme based on the guidance. One of these organisations is a consortium led by University College London and includes partners from across our region.
To help you select which provider is best suited to support your colleagues, you can join a webinar on Monday 11th May from 2 – 2.45 pm.
The webinar will include an update on what the plans are for the Early Career Framework, answer your questions, and give an overview of the ways NQTs and mentors will be supported, especially in the context of the extensive disruptions we have seen both to schools and those finishing ITT programs this year.
