Marc Rowland is an expert on the effective use of the Pupil Premium and improving outcomes for disadvantaged learners. Marc is currently the adviser for improving outcomes for disadvantaged learners for the Unity Schools Partnership. He is also working with the Education Endowment Foundation’s national Research School Network on the roll out of their national Pupil Premium training programme and on a range of programmes focused on educational disadvantage nationally. Marc is also an author. His latest book ‘Learning without Labels’ was also published by John Catt in March 2017.
The Literacy Coach
Sarah Green, also known as ‘The Literacy Coach’ is an experienced teacher and senior leader, currently working as Trust Director of Literacy for The Prospere Learning Trust in Manchester. She is also a former Literacy Content Specialist for The Education Endowment Foundation.
Sarah believes that high-quality literacy provision is an entitlement for all pupils, especially those who are disadvantaged, and she is passionate about supporting teachers, schools and multi-academy trusts to do this in an evidence-informed way.
Kent State University
Timothy Rasinski is a professor emeritus of literacy education at Kent State University. He has written over 200 articles and has authored, co-authored or edited over 50 books or curriculum programs on reading education. His scholarly interests include reading fluency and word study, reading in the elementary and middle grades, and readers who struggle.
