Research School Network: NEW: Research School Training and Events 2018 – 19

We are excited to announce that the Sandringham Research School training programme for 2018 – 19 is now released. Booking is now open!

Our popular three-day courses will include Leading Learning – leadership of evidence-informed CPD, a practical course supporting school leaders to embed evidence-based approaches in their school’s CPD programme. This programme has been heavily subscribed in other national Research Schools and we expect places to go very quickly.

We will also be hosting our sell-out, three-day course Effective feedback to maximise progress featuring Harry Fletcher-Wood, Associate Dean at the Institute for Teaching. In addition, after its recent success, we will run our three-day Maximising achievement in linear exams course where we are delighted to welcome back Dr Duncan Astle from the University of Cambridge’s Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit.

Following our recent Metacognition and self regulation twilight sessions, we are extending this training to a whole-day course in the autumn term. We will also be hosting a whole-day course on Making effective use of Pupil Premium Funding.

There will be a wide range of twilight workshops in 2018 – 19. The programme has many new topics and we welcome a host of eminent guest speakers including Sir John Holman who will lead our Science at KS3& 4 event, Daisy Christodoulou who will lead our Comparative Judgement event, and Alex Quigley who will lead our Literacy at KS3& 4 event.
