A good education, with the qualifications to show for it, can transform lives for the better. Conversely, young people who finish their studies without attaining the expected standards will struggle both in further study and the world of work. This is why a focus on the attainment gap between children and young people from economically disadvantaged backgrounds and their fellow students is critical to ensuring a positive future for all.

This online programme will:

  • Explore the principles of effective Pupil Premium funding use and the foundations of good implementation
  • Support delegates to identify appropriate, evidence-informed approaches that address improvement priorities and defined challenges
  • Enable delegates to develop an approach to evaluating their Pupil Premium provision

Aimed at: Leaders and pupil premium coordinators in primary and secondary schools

  • Dr Caroline Creaby, Research School Director & Deputy Headteacher, Sandringham School, St Albans
