: Nicola Torr

I have been a teacher for over 20 years, initially in a secondary setting and for the past 6 years at Oldham Sixth Form College as a member of the Curriculum Leadership Team and teacher of business and economics. I am passionate about teaching and learning and have taken various leadership roles with this area; as a Senior Leader in Education, Advanced Skills Teacher and coach for middle leaders. I use evidence based strategies to help shape the teaching and learning that takes place across the courses I lead and in my own classroom. In particular I have found implementing strategies from the EEF guidance report focused on Improving Literacy invaluable given the context of the students that we serve within our community.
