: Ann-Marie Smethurst

I have taught at Oldham Sixth Form College for 16 rewarding years, teaching various social science subjects and having the opportunity to do a wide range of roles. I supported staff as an Advanced Skills Teacher, led many courses and facilitated the Great Teaching Toolkit training. In my current role as part of the college’s Curriculum Leadership Team, I take responsibility for driving high quality teaching, learning and assessment across our Psychology, Health and Education courses. I regularly draw upon EEF Implementation guidance to help my team deliver new initiatives smoothly. With a background in Psychology, I also bring a strong interest in Cognitive Science, using EEF research to implement practical strategies that genuinely enhance student outcomes.
