Researched York 2017 is nearly here. Next Saturday – on the 8th of July – we are hosting an array of great speakers at Huntington School, in York, with well over 250 teachers and school leaders attending (a few tickets are still available!). We are delighted to share the exciting timetable for researchED York 2017!

You can still grab your tickets HERE.

We have a keynote from Professor Becky Francis on the problematic matter attainment grouping and how research has consistently failed to find significant benefits of ability grouping’ and yet the research evidence has failed to impact on practice in England. In the TES this week, the analysis by Francis, and Professor Merryn Hutchings, on MATs and their impact on disadvantaged student progress has come under the microscope – see here: Multi-academy trusts not doing enough for high attaining poor pupils, says charity.

There is a vast array of other great speakers speaking about topics like feedback, marking, what makes great teaching, disciplined inquiry‘, comparative judgement, exam stress, genetics in education, workload strategies, teachers asperfectionists, whole-school literacy, reading comprehension, CPDL, engaging with research evidence, oracy, sexual violence and sexual harassment in schools, data, middle leadership, moving to headship, research projects, and much, much more!

Get yourself along and join the debate.

Alex Quigley, Director of Huntington Research School
