John is Executive Director of School Improvement for St Clare Catholic Multi Academy Trust and Director of School Improvement at Notre Dame High School in Sheffield. He is Director of the Sheffield SCITT, a Senior Link for the South Yorkshire Maths Hub and a Pupil Premium Reviewer.
John has a wealth of experience of school and system leadership and headed up the Sheffield Associate Research School from 2019 – 23, contributing to the design and delivery of a number of programmes across Sheffield and Rotherham. During this time John had oversight of a number of EEF-funded projects, ranging from small scale pilots to a national Randomised Control Trial.
His areas of expertise are school improvement, pupil premium and initial teacher training.
