She was awarded Chartered Teacher Status with the Chartered College of Teaching in 2022 and currently facilitates the NPQ in Leading Literacy and the ECT Programme for English and Media in Yorkshire and
the Humber. Most recently, she has had the opportunity to work on a national platform with a secondment as Literacy Content Specialist at the EEF.

Her areas of expertise are in supporting schools with exploring and implementing whole school literacy priorities, in particular disciplinary literacy, reading across the curriculum and modelling metacognitive strategies for writing.
