Research School Network: Cath Proffitt – Project Specific Support

Cath is a Senior Lead Practitioner in coaching and development and a research lead. Based in a through school KS1 – KS4 in Halifax, West Yorkshire

She has experience of coaching to deliver effective CPD and has led both staff and student learning enquiries. Her previous teaching experience includes 12 years as Head of Music, and teacher of KS4 English Literature for the last 10 years.

She is leading staff projects focused on metacognition and feedback as part of a network with Whole Education and Lab Classrooms. Her role in coaching and development has been intrinsic in changing the culture of reflection and impact on perceptions of teaching and learning in the classroom.

Her areas of expertise are CPD development, using staff and student learning enquiries to affect change and coaching for self reflection.
