The series of three sessions shared a wealth of relevant and insightful information for Senior Leaders and Pupil Premium Leads in particular to understand the challenge of disadvantage and how best to organise a response.

- In Session 1 (9 May), Emily Hunt, lead author of the Education Policy Institute’s report on Covid-19 and disadvantage gaps in England 2020, shared key findings and insights.
- Session 2 (23 May) covered ‘There is no such thing as a Pupil Premium intervention’ with Caroline Spalding and Chloe Woodhouse. The speakers shared some of the lessons learned from leading the Pupil Premium in a school in an area of high deprivation – including better bets and worked examples.
- In Session 3 (13 June), Phil Stock talked through 10 tips on improving your Pupil Premium strategy; this included myth-busting and focusing on the most significant challenges that are in your control.
