Underpinned by research evidence from Education Endowment Foundation’s recently updated Deployment of Teaching Assistants Guidance Report, the programme will support teaching assistants from all phases of education to develop their practice. It will explore building effective teacher-teaching assistant partnerships, supporting high quality teaching and learning for all, effective scaffolding to develop pupils’ independence, and delivering high-quality structured interventions.
Dates: This programme comprises four pre-recorded sessions. The sessions will be released on the following dates and are designed to be viewed with a suitable gap between sessions.
Video 1 Understanding Impact: The Evidence on Effective TA Practice: w/c 26th January 2026
Video 2 Supporting Learning Without Creating Dependency: w/c 23rd February 2026
Video 3 High-Quality Small Group & One-to-One Interventions: w/c 16th March 2026

Audience: The programme is aimed at teaching assistants from all phases.
Platform: Sessions will be pre-recorded and uploaded to YouTube. A private viewing link will be sent out to registered email addresses in line with the above dates.
