: Peter Stafford

Peter is the Deputy Headteacher at Lyons Hall Primary School and serves as the Pupil Premium Lead. In this role, Peter leverages his experience and the latest research to develop programmes that meet the diverse needs of students. He is deeply committed to addressing educational disadvantage in Essex, striving to create equitable opportunities for all students. Through his role as Pupil Premium Lead and his broader work, Peter focuses on closing achievement gaps, ensuring that every learner has access to the support and resources they need to succeed.

Alongside his responsibilities as a senior leader at Lyons Hall, Peter is a facilitator for the National Professional Qualification in Senior Leadership (NPQSL) and has previously led on the Middle Leadership (NPQML) and Leading Behaviour and Culture (NPQLBC) courses.

Throughout his career, Peter has supported schools as a Specialist Leader of Education (SLE) in behaviour and as a lead for our school’s role as a Behaviour Hub School helping other schools in our network enhance their behaviour management practices. Many of the schools involved in the Behaviour Hub served in areas with a high percentage of pupils coming from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Peter is a passionate educator and mentor and remains committed to supporting new educators as an external ITT mentor and a Delivery Tutor for Primary Science.
