Aaron is the Headteacher of Kingston Primary School and the SEND and Inclusion Lead for the ROBUS Trust.

With 16 years’ experience in education and over a decade as a SENDCO, Aaron is passionate about creating inclusive school communities where every child can thrive. He holds the NPQ in Executive Leadership (NPQEL), NPQH and the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO).

Aaron works across the trust and local area to support schools in developing effective SEND and inclusion practice. He represents SENDCOs at local cluster meetings and has extensive experience leading and supporting SEND and Pupil Premium reviews. He is particularly interested in self-regulation, emotional wellbeing and the role these play in enabling pupils to achieve highly, regardless of starting point or need.

As Headteacher of Kingston Primary School, Aaron has led the development of a rich and engaging curriculum centred on curiosity and memorable learning experiences.

Aaron is also a strong advocate for outdoor learning and Forest School provision. He has helped develop a dedicated on-site Forest School area and believes that learning outdoors plays a vital role in developing resilience, independence, collaboration and wellbeing, while providing meaningful opportunities for experiential learning.

Alongside his work in SEND and inclusion, Aaron is an experienced writing moderator and has a particular interest in writing, metacognition and curriculum design. He has worked with colleagues to develop a research-informed writing curriculum that maintains high standards while fostering engagement and a love of writing.

Aaron is passionate about evidence-informed practice and enjoys working collaboratively with leaders and teachers to improve outcomes for all pupils through inclusion, curriculum innovation and high-quality teaching.
