Metacognition, or “thinking about thinking,” is a powerful strategy that can significantly improve students’ learning outcomes. By teaching students to be aware of their cognitive processes, educators can help them develop critical self-regulation skills, enhance their understanding, and improve their academic performance. This session will explore the concept of metacognition, its benefits, and practical strategies for fostering metacognitive skills in the classroom.
Objectives
