Alison is a KS2 teacher and Primary English Lead at Five Islands Academy on the Isles of Scilly, where she is passionate about the role of literacy and oracy in fostering active citizenship. She has a particular interest in the use of early, explicit vocabulary teaching to tackle disadvantage and, with a background in nature conservation, also loves taking learning outdoors to inspire curiosity and creativity.
