We know that the best lever we have for narrowing the disadvantage gap is high-quality classroom teaching, and that once children fall behind in mathematics it can be very difficult for them to catch up.

For this reason, our new programme focuses on key aspects of evidence which relate closely to everyday classroom practice.

Seven sessions will take place looking at:

  1. Addressing assessment – 22 Feb
  2. Minimising misconceptions – 12 Apr
  3. Making sense through modelling – 19 Apr
  4. Developing a rich network of mathematical knowledge – 10 May
  5. Making use of manipulatives – 24 May
  6. Guiding problem solving – 21 Jun
  7. Focus on feedback – 19 Jul

All sessions take place on Mondays from 3.30pm – 5.00pm and are FREE of charge.
