This is the latest guidance report from the EEF and, like the others, it starts with a page of recommendations.
The recommendations are organised into 4 different categories:
Teaching Strategies
Curriculum
Whole-school
Implementation
The guidance report identifies 5 key skills that should be taught frequently, purposefully and explicitly in stand-alone PSHE lessons and also further integrated into the curriculum. The key skills are:
Self-Awareness
Self-Management
Social Awareness
Relationship Skills
Responsible Decision Making
This guidance report has created a lot of interest and, because of this, we went to interview Dr Michael Wigelsworth from Manchester University as he was a member of the Review Team. We asked him about the content of the report, how it was collated and the best ways for schools to use it. Watch the interview below.
