Using research evidence to define the best approaches to teaching and leadership in our schools is having clear impact in schools throughout the UK.

This symposium brings together school and system leaders to consider how we can use evidence-informed approaches to define our own future, whatever the government or its policy direction.

A workshop and discussion forum with contributions from the Education Endowment Foundation, Stoke-on-Trent Research School, local Teaching School Council representatives and the Chartered College of Teaching.

Who is the event designed for?

The Research Schools Network would like to extend its invitation to CEOs of local multi-academy trusts, local head teachers and system leaders, including NLEs, SLEs, NLGs, Teaching School leads, LA/Diocesan leaders.

The event will enable system leaders to:

  • Explore the importance of using research evidence to drive school improvement
  • Explore the challenges presented by engaging with research evidence
  • Help shape future policy by interacting with and influencing key stakeholders
